Many people have been asking me if it is too late for them to buy a home – the answer is simply no! I have four reasons explaining why one of the best times to buy is now:
- Inventory. Our inventory has tripled in the last four months, creating the perfect market. With a three months’ supply of homes available, there are enough homes on the market to sell yours and there are more than enough to choose from when going to buy.
- Interest rates. With interest rates still staying below 4.5%, it is a fantastic time to buy. However, they are expected to rise soon; so act quickly!
- Standard sales. Most of the homes that are currently on the market are “standard sales.” This means that the homes you will be looking at are in good condition and there will be very few repairs needed to be done before moving in.
- Time to sell. If you have a home that you need to sell, you will have time to sell your home because of the ability you will have to write an offer contingent upon your home selling. This is the first time in years where we have seen anything like this!
