Should you sell during the holiday season?
Welcome back! Now that fall is in full swing and the holidays are quickly approaching, a lot of people ask me whether now is a good time to put their home on the market.
Much to your surprise now is a great time to sell. While
there may be fewer showings, the buyers in the market are much more motivated.
Often when someone relocates they look for a home during the
holiday season so they can start with their new company for the new year.
Most people also have more time off during the holidays and
it’s the perfect time for them to look for a new home. Sellers also have found
success by marvelously decorating their home.
There are some inconveniences to selling during the holiday
season, but we can work with you on that. If you plan on having company, we can
limit the number of showings to allow you that time.
We can also delay closing until after the holiday season so
you can enjoy the holidays without the stress of moving.

How to maximize the amount of money when selling your home

2. Make sure buyers are prequalified. You the want the buyers who look at your home to be serious and know they have the financing to purchase your home.
3. Get your home in top-notch condition. You not only want your home to be market ready, you want it to stand out from the competition.
4. Timing is everything. This is the best sellers market we’ve had in a decade. Now is the time to sell and get the most money out of your home.

The answer to both is yes! Interests rates are phenomenal
and historically low. This is great because it brings more potential buyers to
the market.
Prices have also come way up in the past 24 months. In fact,
they have increased by as much as 40 percent in some areas.
Another reason now is a good time to sell and buy is
inventory has crept up to a 2-4 month supply. That’s a good balance whether you
are buying or selling.

Is now a good time to sell your rental house?
Hey, guys! I’m sure you’ve heard how great our market is
right now. I’ve been getting asked a lot lately about when is the perfect time to sell a rental property.
Well, the best time is when the home is in perfect condition
and the tenant is no longer living in the property. However, because there is a
shortage of inventory and a large buyer’s pool, it is easier than ever to sell
the property for top dollar while a tenant is still living in the home.

One question I’ve been asked a lot is ‘what is the best way
to buy a home while selling?’ That’s a great question. Both the buying and
selling process are stressful, so it’s good to have a plan.
If you are looking to move, put your current home on the
market first. With today’s market conditions, we are seeing homes get multiple
offers. Once you have bids, tell the buyers they must wait for you to find a
home to purchase. This gives you more control and you aren’t rushed into making
a decision. You can move straight from your current home to your new one!
