Is it Too Late to Sell?
In our booming spring market here in Corona, this topic comes up on the phone nearly every time that I speak with a client. The truth is that we actually have quite a few buyers out there right now, even though we have lost about 20% of the monthly sales we had six months ago.
The good news is that we have had a 22% increase in home prices in the last 12 months, and this has eliminated the bottom feeders from our market. I'm talking about the buyers who wanted bank foreclosures or who wanted to buy your home for less than it was worth.
Luckily, we have 4 other types of buyers in our market that will be eager to purchase:
- We still have first time home buyers left in the market who can expect to buy a home without a troublesome amount of repairs.
- There are also plenty of move-up buyers who are waiting to purchase. These people have been waiting until their current home is worth enough money to sell, and that time is now.
- Transfers from companies and new jobs: People from all over the country are starting to move into this area, and as you can see, our economy in this area is starting to spring back
- Lastly, we have the empty nesters who have been waiting until their home was worth enough money so that they could downsize and enjoy the beautiful climate here in Corona.
